MAINTENANCE AND RELIABILITY LEADER – Kraft Foods Group


Lead Kraft RTE Maintenance consisting of 70 Team Members in Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) practices to improve Production and Equipment reliability through RCFAs, PM/PDM, and proactive repairs. Participate in multiple Six Sigma Black Belt projects. Lead PM compliance and Corrective Repairs across multiple platforms including Deli, Blondie, Pouch, and Slice. Institute proactive maintenance activities such as Infrared, Ultrasonics, and Checklists for both Maintenance and Production to identify potential failures prior to impacting production. Lead Team Meetings employing Continuous Improvement Tools such as Pareto, Fishbone, RCAs, Weighted Prioritization, and Action Item Creation and Follow up Accountability to Improve FHFP and OEE.

PLANT ENGINEER – Carolina Pride Foods


USDA regulations for RTE food processing areas including Maintenance, Sanitation, and Auditing. Initiate, Coordinate, and Track Plant-wide capital projects and upgrades. Troubleshoot/Repair high-speed complex PLC based slicing, conveyor, and packaging equipment. Prioritize potential  projects based on business continuity requirements and ROI. Facilitate projects with internal Maintenance function, in concert with outside resources. Actively manage on-site projects including significant Utility, Structural, and Electrical upgrades and repairs utilizing Microsoft Project. Managed and Updated Plant and Equipment utilizing AutoCAD Resources. Direct liaison between Ownership, Internal, and External Resources for New Equipment, Capital Projects, and Upgrades. Work with structural, equipment, utility drawings, and process specifications. Award project bids based on developed criteria specifications. Responsible for budget totaling over 7.8MM, and (70) maintenance employees. Managed building projects, upgrades, and procedural upgrades of divisional and departmental polices. Primary interface for Abbott Park with FDA, TGA, and EU agencies for Maintenance, Calibration, and Metrology issues. Long-range Planning, budgeting, management of capital, expense, and sales budgets. P/L system trained. Member of the calibration Validation Review Board (VRB). Instrumental in creating compliant plant-wide procedures for equipment repair and calibration. Developed a very strong partnership with Engineering. Supported and managed Instrumentation and Controls. Provide strategic and tactical direction. Responsible for 32M PM and calibrations per year and PM and maintenance of 1800 Abbott Manufactured Instruments. Developed the Leadership Curriculum for LC I&CS. Mentor and coach for (9) supervisory personnel. Managed contractors and temporary employees. CAPA trained. Personal availability 24 hours per day, 365 days.
